05 nov 2025 | The PreVEnT project, co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme (2023-1-RO01-KA220-VET-000151056), brings together leading VET providers, research centres, and industrial partners to strengthen skills in Predictive Maintenance (PM) through Deep Tech applications such as AI, digital twins, and advanced manufacturing systems. Its main goal is to bridge the digital and green skills gap in industry by developing innovative training toolkits, micro-credentials, and teaching factory models. By connecting education and industry, PreVEnT promotes a new generation of skilled professionals capable of driving sustainable and resilient industrial transformation across Europe
The PreVEnT project has successfully demonstrated its impact through a series of Teaching Factory sessions held between September 18th and October 20th, 2025, bridging education, innovation, and industry. The final session of teaching factory was conducted at TICASS headquarter. Participants explored AI-based monitoring systems, machine vision applications, and digital twin integration for predictive maintenance. Throughout the sessions, over 50 professionals from diverse sectors — including energy, shipbuilding, rail transport, and advanced manufacturing — engaged in hands-on experimentation and knowledge exchange.
The final workshop, hosted at H2 IIS SIDER on October 29th showcased real industrial case studies for material operating within hydrogen environment, highlighting how advance material testing can improve asset reliability and support in the reduction of environmental impact. This activity not only strengthened industry–VET cooperation but also positioned IIS and its partners at the forefront of digital, sustainable, and inclusive upskilling for predictive maintenance in Europe.
